Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of Promate's browser extension and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Promate is

Promate is a writing assistant that helps you draft personalized outreach messages. It generates suggested text only. It does not send messages, connect, automate, or perform any action on your behalf on any third-party platform. You decide what to send and you send it yourself.

2. Acceptable use

  • You are responsible for every message you send and for ensuring it is accurate, lawful, and respectful.
  • You agree to comply with the terms of any platform where you use the generated content, including LinkedIn's User Agreement.
  • You will not use Promate to send spam, harass, deceive, or violate any law or third-party rights.
  • You will not attempt to bypass plan limits, resell access, or reverse-engineer the Service.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Plans, billing & cancellation

  • The Service offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (Pro and Teams). Prices are shown on our pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel anytime; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • "Unlimited" paid usage is subject to a fair-use limit described in the product, intended to prevent abuse and protect your account.

5. Intellectual property

You own the messages you generate and send. We own the Service, its software, and brand. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service per these Terms.

6. AI-generated content

Messages are generated with the help of AI and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any message before sending. Do not rely on generated content as professional, legal, or factual advice.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any particular acceptance rate, response, or outcome. We are not responsible for actions taken by third-party platforms regarding your account.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Promate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You can request deletion of your account by emailing hello@promateai.com.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: hello@promateai.com.

Promate is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn, Google, or Stripe. This document is a starting template and should be reviewed by your legal counsel before launch.
